Ribacchi & Associates is a known leader in valuation and consulting services with a reputation for providing exceptional expertise in Northern California.  

The principals of Ribacchi & Associates have over 30 years of real estate appraisal experience, in addition to possessing the MAI designation of the Appraisal Institute and the general certified license for the states of California and Nevada. Each staff member has participated in an extensive training program in order to become proficient in all areas of appraisal problem solving. Collectively we follow a continuing education program that ensures our compliance with the latest standards and practices.

In addition to the general practice, each of the senior appraisers has developed areas of specialization, allowing the firm to accept and complete, with confidence, even the most demanding of valuation assignments.

Richard A. Ribacchi, MAI , received his Bachelor's Degree from the University of Southern California. Mr. Ribacchi holds an MAI designation from the Appraisal Institute and is licensed in California as a Certified General Real Estate Appraiser. He has been actively engaged as a Real Estate Appraiser and Consultant since 1981, and has provided these services to clients throughout Northern and Central California. Mr. Ribacchi is skilled in the appraisal of all traditional property types, as well as numerous special purpose properties, including landfills, movie theatres and fast-food restaurants.  

Jeffrey R. Hand started his appraisal career with the US Bureau of Reclamation in Sacramento .  He specialized in agricultural appraisals, large government acquisitions and easement valuations.  He is a Certified General Appraiser with a degree from California State University, Sacramento with a concentration in Real Estate and Land Use Affairs. Jeff has taken classes from the Appraisal Institute, the American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers, and the international Right of Way Association and is pursuing his MAI designation. Joining Ribacchi & Associates in 2003,  he is qualified to appraise office, industrial, and retail projects, proposed right of ways, conservation easements, apartments, residential subdivisions, commercial and agricultural land, and special purpose properties. 

David C. Newman was born in Berkeley, CA, but spent his teen years in Redding, CA. He moved to Sacramento in 1995 to attend California State University, Sacramento, where he received his bachelor’s degree in business administration. David began his appraisal career with PGP Valuation Inc in 2003 and transitioned to Ribacchi & Associates in June 2011. He is skilled in the appraisal of hotels, office buildings, retail centers, industrial buildings, and apartments. David has trained several appraisers during his career. He has passed the two-day comprehensive examination and is working on his demonstration report to become a Member of the Appraisal Institute.

Susan M. Moore received her BA degree in English literature, with an emphasis in copy-editing and a minor in philosophy, at Brigham Young University in 2002. She moved to Sacramento in 2003, and graduated with her MA degree in English literature from California State University, Sacramento in 2008. Susan began her career at PGP Valuation Inc. in 2007 and transitioned to Ribacchi and Associates in June 2011. She specializes in hotels, office buildings, and retail centers, and has experience in a variety of other property types.

Russell Robinson joined Ribacchi & Associates in 2010 as an appraiser trainee and engages in a wide variety of valuation and consulting assignments. Since joining our team, he has been writing appraisal reports for commercial properties, including office, retail, industrial, multifamily, and commercial and residential land. Previously, Russell worked on behalf of the development community where he advised clients on development projects and worked with developers and municipalities on a variety of land development issues. He holds a BS in Business Administration with a concentration in finance from California State University, Sacramento and is a candidate in the MS Urban Land Development program.

Jason D. Salow, Associate Appraiser, is licensed in California as a Certified General Real Estate Appraiser. He has been appraising since 2005, and has experience throughout Northern and Central California. Jason has experience in retail, office, multi-family, and, NNN properties.

Eric Voster holds a BS in Business Administration with a concentration in Real Estate and Land Use. Prior to joining Ribacchi & Associates, he worked as a Real Estate Market Researcher/Analyst at Hanley Wood and later at Lea and Company. At Hanley Wood he did research on proposed, pending and approved new home developments and tracked sales in various counties and cities throughout California. At Lea and Company he was involved in writing market studies and providing research on cities and counties in California and Nevada. He is currently assisting in the completion of feasibility studies, real estate appraisals, and real estate research projects.

Ryan Fletcher received his Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education from Brigham Young University and has worked in the appraisal industry since 2004. He received the Certified General Real Estate Appraiser license in 2008 and is currently working toward a designation in the Appraisal Institute. Ryan worked for several years appraising single family homes and residential developments. He has experience appraising a variety of property types with specialization in multi-family units and vacant land.
